Lenzing to Highlight Fiber Innovations at L.A. Textile Show

Visitors to the upcoming Los Angeles International Textile Show will get the scoop on the latest developments in fibers and textiles when Austrian fiber maker Lenzing reprises its Innovation Pavilion and hosts a seminar on textile developments at the March 28–30 show.

Lenzing—which produces Tencel, Modal and Viloft fibers—has lined up 20 fabric mills, manufacturers and spinners for the Pavilion, which will be located in the California Market Center’s 13th-floor Penthouse Pavilion.

The Innovation Pavilion will include domestic resources American Fabrics International, Asher Fabric Concepts, Britannia Mills LTD, Buhler Quality Yarns, Deer Creek Fabrics, Design Knit, Fessler USA, Impex Textiles, Laguna Fabrics and Enviro Textiles, Pacific Coast Knitting, SAS, Sextet, SG Knits, Sharatex Inc., Texollini, Twin Dragon Marketing Inc., Unitex International, and Zen Textiles, as well as international mills Manior Inc. from Canada and Italian mill Miroglio.

The March 29 seminar is titled “Fabric Sourcing: Today’s Challenges and Innovations.” Speakers included Ned Pilchman, sales manager for American Fabrics International; David Sasso, vice president of international sales and marketing for Buhler Quality Yarns; Pat Tabassi, product development and marketing manager for Design Knit; Brian Meck, vice president of marketing for Fessler USA; David Roshan, president of Laguna Fabrics and Enviro Textiles; Lauren Greenberg, vice president of SG Knits; and Nori Hill, design director of Texollini. Lenzing Merchandise Manager Tricia Carey will moderate the panel.
