The Vonderheide Showroom

The Vonderheide Showroom has offered designer and bridge since 1983, according to co-owner Tom Vonderheide. For the March 14–17 run of the Los Angeles Fashion Market, the showroom will add contemporary to the mix.
“The market is switching. There are not as many designer stores out there,” Vonderheide said. “The manufacturers we represent are making more contemporary clothes, and we want to be part of that market.”
On Feb. 15, Tom and his wife and business partner, Diane, moved their operation from the California Market Center to a 2,400-square-foot showroom based in The New Mart, in the former space of a Rock ’N’ Republic showroom. The new Vonderheide showroom offers an industrial, loft look that features a 17th-century Spanish chandelier, which, Tom Vonderheide said, his great-uncle California state Sen. Joe Riley purchased on a trip to Madrid.
For this market, The Vonderheide Showroom will debut Diktons, a Barcelona-based line; Yoshi Yoshi by PJ, a Tokyo-based line; and New York–based Helios & Luna. Vonderheide also represents MICHAEL Michael Kors and Italian line Dismero, as well as New York lines Robert Graham Women’s, Adrienne Vittadini Collection and Paperwhite.
