Los Angeles Fashion Week: Directives West First L.A.
On March 14, Directives West hosted First L.A., a group show featuring Fall 2011 looks from brands such as Whitney Eve, YuYu, Twinkle by Wenlan, James Icon, Hazel, 50 Dresses, Dolan, Kolae, J Brand, Imposter and Dolce Cabo. Held in the California Market Center, the show sent a variety of trends down the runway, including leather pants and shorts, ’70s glam dresses and flared pants, maxi-length dresses and skirts, prints that ran the gamut from stripes and plaids to florals and Native American motifs, and fur and colored bottoms. —Erin Barajas
