Malibu Dream Girl Acquires Dotti
Commerce-based swimwear maker Malibu Dream Girl acquired Dotti, a swimwear coverup brand, for an unspecified sum. Dotti was founded in 1988 by Dotti Schwartz but was later sold to Kellwood Co. in 1997 and then to A.H. Schreiber Co. in 2005. The deal is the latest in Malibu Dream Girl’s expansion efforts. Earlier this month, the company announced a partnership with intimates maker Maidenform to launch Maidenform Swim.
