Hi Everyone!

Elimination night 6 opened with the powerhouse Broadway diva Kristin Chenoweth performing a new song from her album “Some Lessons Learned.”

Of course, she was good—but, not as impressive as when she sings Broadway standards. Next up, country singer Martina McBride sang “I’m Gonna Love You Through It.”

Then there was the Macy’s Stars of Dance performance, which was choreographed by none other than the man, Kenny Ortega. For those who don’t know, he is the man who directed and choreographed Michael Jackson’s comeback tour before he died. The lead performer was Corbin Bleu from “High School Musical” fame. They did a medley of songs from “42nd Street,” “West Side Story” and “In the Heights.”

And when they scanned the audience you could see George Chakiris, Academy Award winner for “West Side Story,” in the crowds.

Corbin did an okay job, but, to paraphrase a song from my favorite musical “A Chorus Line”—which I had the pleasure of performing in—Looks 10, Sings 3.

Oh, snap!

Mark Ballas and Lacey Schwimmer kicked Halloween off early with a special Halloween performance with very talented kids. It was choreographed by Lacey. It was cute. I hate cute!

Finally! They began to announce the couples that will be coming back next week to dance in the Halloween show. The last thee couples in jeopardy were Hope Solo and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, Chaz Bono and Lacey and Rob Kardashian and Cheryl Burke. Oh, after his divo performance last night, Maksim had to do some back peddling and apologizing for saying this is his show. Tom Bergeron had a great response: “Oh and I was just getting ready to ask him for a raise.”

In the end, Chaz and Lacey were eliminated. Aww! Depressed? No! It was time for him to go and each week SOMEONE has to go home.

See you next week at the Halloween show!

Until then, keep on dancing!
