Lisa Kline Employee Moves Around with Flower Truck

By day, Jenifer Kaplan works at the Lisa Kline boutique on Robertson Boulevard as an accounting manager. But her newest gig has nothing to do with clothes. It's all about flowers.

Kaplan has always wanted to have her own business. So when Lisa Klinestarted downsizing her retail empire to only one store, Kaplan took theopportunity to pursue her dream. Last February, she acquried a rickety old ice cream truck, painted it with flowers and launched The Flower Truck, which roams the West side selling fragrant blooms.

Kaplan sticks primarily to the streets of Venice, Santa Monica and Culver City because her ice cream truck really isn't freeway friendly. But she was in Beverly Hills the other evening for Fashion's Night Out, lined up with all the food trucks.

The budding entrepreneur sells bouquets, "to go" vases and even shows up for special events. One rather romantic fellow hired her to pull up at a sidewalk cafe, step out and deliver a large arrangement of flowers to his girlfriend for her birthday.

"Lisa has been very encouraging on all of this," Kaplan said. "She undertands entrepreneurial dreams."
