No Piano

For those who aren’t making the migration to Coachella and who are looking for some music a little closer to home, LA Chamber Orchestra is kicking off its musical public art installation “Play me, I'm Yours” today.

Thirty pianos will be made available for public playing in sites downtown and across LA County. But apparently, this doesn’t include fashion designers. The closet locations to the Fashion District include California Plaza, L.A. Live and the Wells Fargo Center on Bunker Hill.

We love the concept, but we're wondering why we didn’t we get a piano? Who thought fashion and music doesn't mix!

The decorated pianos are available for anyone to play, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, over the next three weeks.

The project was conceived by British artist Luke Jerram and has been installed in cities around the world, including New York, London and Barcelona.
