Quiksilver Announces Departure of Pioneering Marketing Exec.

Randy Hild has been credited with building the success of women’s brands such as Roxy at Quiksilver Inc., and on Jan. 3, the surf giant announced that Hild had left full-time employment at the Huntington Beach, Calif.–based surfwear company. Hild most recently served as executive vice president for strategic partnerships for Quiksilver Americas.

Hild will be developing his own creative agency as he consults part time with Quiksilver. Bob McKnight, the surf company’s chief executive, said Hild had signed a long-term agreement to consult on strategic partnerships and other marketing-related projects with Quiksilver.

“While I’m excited about the opportunity to venture out to new creative arenas, I’m equally stoked to have an ongoing relationship with Quiksilver and their incredibly powerful action-sports brands,” Hild said.—Andrew Asch
