The Cooper Design Space, at the corner of Ninth and Los Angeles streets in the heart of L.A.’s Fashion District, hosts a space that embraces cross-pollination among L.A. lifestyle businesses in fashion, media arts, and publishing. The building is 11 stories tall and, having been built in 1927, represents the city’s history of creative commerce. It’s a space that encourages fluidity across functions by offering an event venue, offices, and showrooms in a single location. Fashion Market Northern California
is celebrating its fifth year at the San Mateo Event Center with its upcoming Summer Market—Jan. 29–31, 2012, Sunday through Tuesday. Fashion Market is the largest open-booth show on the West Coast, with over 2,000 lines showing.
