CIT Launches Factoring University

The CIT Group launched an educational website to outline the principles of accounts-receivables factoring.

Factoring University (www.citfactoringuniversity.com) went live on July 9 and offers insight into factoring services for small- and mid-size businesses.

“We saw there was a need for greater education about factoring services,” said Jon Lucas, president of CIT Trade Finance. “That is why we designed Factoring University, which is an online resource for small- and mid-size-business owners looking for information about this financing tool. Factoring University provides a platform from which individuals can educate themselves on the benefits of factoring and related services while highlighting the industry expertise and thought leadership of CIT’s executives.”

Among Factoring University’s exclusive content is a primer on the basics of factoring. Additional topics include “How to Minimize Bad-Debt Losses” and “Managing Collections Efficiently.”
