Madisonpark Collective

Madisonpark Collective debuted its men’s Summer and Fall collections on the runway at Style Fashion Week LA at Vibiana.  Male dancers opened the show, giving an action-packed energy to the runway presentation.

The collection, which launched in 2010, is vintage-inspired with a modern-day twist. The collection mixed rugged with refined, with fabrics ranging from reclaimed military canvas to recycled cotton, salvaged denim and cashmere.  For Summer, designer Trey Alligood focused on color, adding an American workwear theme with clean cut tees and tanks paired with five-pocket jeans and tuxedo trousers.

“I love mixing colors most people would never put together,” Alligood said. “Madisonpark is all about being different and pushing boundaries far enough—but not [going] over the top,” he added.

For Fall, Alligood introduced cashmere scarfs, hoodies and sweaters that were paired with cargo pants and jeans made in Japanese twills and denim with washed and wax-coated finishes. Jackets were one-of-kind, made from deconstructed, reclaimed World War II mail bags complete with post office codes and stamps.—N. Jayne Seward
