Lectra Appoints Sales Director for Italy
Paris-based Lectra named Maurizio Sapio sales director for Italy.
Sapio has 15 years’ experience in the IT industry, where he worked at Oracle, PeopleSoft and IBM. He graduated with a degree in IT systems engineering from the Politecnico di Milano.
Based in Milan, Sapio will report to Fabio Canali, managing director for Italy. Sapio’s experience will be “instrumental in supporting customers in the development and integration of our most advanced solutions, proposing consulting and change management guidance in addition to the services traditionally associated with Lectra,” Canali said in a company statement.
Established in 1973, Lectra provides technological solutions that assist in the development and manufacturing process for industries using soft materials. The company, which integrates CAD/CAM hardware and software into its services, specializes in the fashion, automotive and furniture markets.
