ecVision’s Latest Features Enhanced Shipment Solutions

Iselin, N.J.–based ecVision, which provides cloud-based supply-chain collaboration platforms for brands and retailers, introduces new functionality in the Global Logistics Module of its ecVision Suite.

In the latest release, importers can book shipments with carriers through integration with external systems, and they can use the platform to track shipments and streamline the U.S. Customs entry through the Importer Security Filing (ISF) requirement, known as 10+2.

ISF, which has been in effect for several years, requires importers to electronically submit 12 pieces of information (10 from the importer and two from the carrier) 24 hours before the shipment is loaded. Noncompliance carries penalties of $5,000 per incident and can delay shipment. ecVision Suite’s ISF+2 Filing Functionality lets users create new ISF documents and submit them directly to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

“After extensively collaborating with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection and to establish the secure, dedicated hardware connection from our data center in the U.S., our customers can now submit their filings through ecVision Suite directly to CBP,” said Garry Barraco, director of product marketing for ecVision. “This not only streamlines the filing process but helps to lower the potential for monetary penalties, minimize exposure to product and shipment inspections, and/or delay of cargo by ensuring improved filing and accuracy of their data."
