AUTHENTIC APPAREL

There’s Stylish, and Then There’s Army Stylish.

What do you get when you combine Authentic Apparel, the U.S. Army and actor and former pro-wrestler Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson”?

A business partnership, that’s what.

Authentic is launching a collection of “army style” clothing, which is officially licensed by the U.S. Army. And The Rock has signed on as the face of the launch collection, which includes bomber jackets, khakis, cargo pants, henleys, field jackets and other items inspired by classic Army heritage pieces.

In fact, Authentic designers were able to comb through the Army’s 238-year archive for inspiration. For added authenticity, the collection also includes technical textiles such as Kevlar and moisture-management fabrics.

"Authentic Apparel Group is about legacy, performance and innovation. I am proud to represent a company that supports and honors the everyday heroes that inspire me," Johnson said, in a statement.

The launch collection will be sold exclusively on Zappos.

Plus, a portion of proceeds from the collection benefit the Army’s Morale, Welfare and Recreation Program for current and retired soldiers and their families.
