BurdaStyle Magazine Launches U.S. Edition

After publishing editions in Europe and other spots around the world, BurdaStyle this month is launching a U.S. version of its magazine.

This is just the ticket for those DIY types who would rather whip up their own outfits than purchase them in a store. This publication could be a big shot in the arm for Los Angeles fabric stores. A new fabric store from New Zealand recently opened its doors in Los Angeles, as reported by our Executive Editor, Alison Nieder.

The new BurdaStyle magazine will have more than 40 fashion sewing patterns inside, sewing tips and other helpful information.

The inaugural issue features looks inspired by Chanel, Basler, Issey Miyake, and Philip Lim.

Denise Wild, editorial director of BurdaStyle U.S. edition, said the magazine's editors take their inspiration from runways around the globe and translate that into stylish DIY projects from accessories to garments to full outfits.
