Torrid, the plus-size retailer headquartered in California, has always designed its clothes for the woman who has a little more to offer.

The company, with 236 mostly mall-based stores, has found a niche catering to the young woman who wears sizes 12 to 28, and that includes swimwear.

For this year's 2014 bathing suit collection, Torrid has chosen Australian model Georgina Burke as its swimwear cover girl to showcase the Torrid looks. The 24-year-old Burke may be a size 18 but that is not stopping Torrid from coming up with some great swimsuits that complement every woman's body.

"We put a great deal of focus and effort into the design of this swimsuit collection," said Liz Munoz, Torrid's senior vice president of product development. "Each suit was fit on five different girls, each with a different body type and size, with the goal of ensuring the fit was exceptionally flattering."

Burke is on the cover of Torrid's 2014 Swimsuit Edition catalog, on posters displayed in Torrid store windows and featured on the website, torrid.com.

Torrid notes that 68 percent of women are a size 12 and up, so why not give them a bathing suit they can wear and look good in while around the pool?
