Leather Cottage

I spotted Nicholas Duong’s booth at Liberty for his new accessories line Leather Cottage.

Formerly behind the scenes at Maxfield, Duong is now making leather and canvas accessories from his studio in Alhambra, Calif.

Duong was proudly touting his 100 percent made in USA materials—but pointed out the one imported material, an aizome indigo fabric from Japan.

The hand-made pieces include backpacks, totes, clutches and belts, which are wholesale prices from $60 to $145, with the leather and suede pieces priced higher (around $225) because Duong uses the whole hide, rather than cut pieces to make the bags.
