The mad and dark TV show called "Orphan Black" is a series perfect for the styles found at Hot Topic, a retailer that often veers toward the dark and gothic side of life.

So it seemed like a match made in orphan heaven when Hot Topic teamed up with the producers of "Orphan Black" to design a limited-edition collection that reflects the personalities of the four main characters who return to TV screens on April 18.

The show is the tale of Sarah Manning, an outsider and orphan whose life changes after witnessing the suicide of a woman who looks just like her. Coincidence? I think not. A mystery ensues.

Hot Topic's collection consists of black moto leggings, black moto jackets and striped knit tanks for the Sarah Manning character. A swing dress in gingham print and a knit cardigan with pink embroidery were designed for the more feminine Alison Hendrix character.

Cosima Niehaus, another personality on the show, is the inspiration for a fit-and-flare helix print dress and an over-sized ombre knit cardigan For Helena, there is a nude mesh long-sleeve top with angel wings back print and a lightweight anorak jacket.

Retail prices range from $24.50 to $49.50. The collection already is online and will be in Hot Topic stores on April 13.
