Two Weeks Left to See FIDM Movie Costume Exhibit

If you haven't seen the stunning collection of costumes that were up for Academy Awards earlier this year, you still have time.

Every year, the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising organizes an impressive exhibit of Oscar-nominated costumes as well as frocks from nearly 20 other movies that hit the theaters in 2015.

The exhibit will be up through April 30, which means you have two more weeks to take in the costumes. Best of all, the exhibit is free.

The Oscar-nominated costumes were from “Carol,” by Sandy Powell; “Cinderella,” also by Sandy Powell; “The Danish Girl,” by Paco Delgado; “The Revenant,” by Jacqueline West and the Oscar winner, which was “Mad Max: Fury Road,” by Jenny Beavan.

If that weren’t enough, there are scads more costumes from other movies such as “Bridge of Spies,” “Brooklyn,” “Straight Outta Compton,” “Trumbo,” “Far from the Madding Crowd,” “The Hateful Eight,” and “Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation.”

The exhibit is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Tuesdays through Saturdays. The FIDM museum is located at 919 S. Grand Ave.
