On May 24, Project Runway winner Ashley Nell Tipton will be at the Glendale Galleria in Glendale, Calif. , for the opening of JCPenney’s plus-size in-store concept called The Boutique and the launch of JCP’s own plus-size fashion line Boutique+.

Tipton is a California girl. Born and raised in sunny San Diego, Tipton studied fashion at Fashion Careers College. When she won the most recent season of “Project Runway,” her winning collection became the first plus-size line featured in the finale of the fashion reality shows’ 12-year history.

JCPenney is opening The Boutique in-store concept shops in nearly 200 stores, with plans to carry an assortment of plus-size apparel from brands such as a.n.a., Liz Claiborne, Worthington, Alyx and Bisou Bisou, as well as its new Boutique+ line. Tipton, who serves as the brand ambassador for Boutique+, will also create two capsule collections for the new brand.
