Naomi Campbell: Lady in a Red Nose

Never let it be said that Naomi Campbell doesn’t have a sense of humor—and compassion.

The supermodel recently flipped the switch on the Empire State Building turning the iconic New York landmark red in honor of Red Nose Day, the international fund-raiser for children in need around the world.

Campbell was joined by Red Nose Day Vice President for Partnerships Terry Mills on May 24 at the Empire State Building, where the two donned the event’s signature red clown nose.

Red Nose Day was founded 25 years ago in the U.K. and launched in the U.S. in 2015. Over the last 25 years, the event has raised more than $1 billion for needy children and young people across the United States and in 15 countries around the world.

In addition to the Empire State Building, the Willis Tower in Chicago and the US Bank Building will also be lit up in red. Comedian and talk show host Craig Ferguson will host a live Red Nose Day TV Special on May 26, which will be air in the U.S. at 9 p.m. E.S.T. on NBC.
