So, Bearpaw has its sheepskin boots for the outdoor crowd and its sheepskin moccasins for the couch potatoes, and now it is entering the world of outdoor apparel.

The Northern California company that is now 15 years old is debuting a range of winter jackets that will fit right in with that footwear.

The Fall '16 line includes seven looks for women and three looks for men with simple fleece styles selling for $29.99 and down jackets going for $189.99.

Women's looks include a lighter-style jacket with elastic taping that wraps all zippered pocket openings. There is a straight-cut jacket with a Sherpa-lined hood and a technical jacket featuring a detachable hood and snow belts.

The company's President, John Pierce, said he felt it was time to add an outerwear line to the company's selection of footwear that got its start when Bearpaw was launched in 2001 by Tony Romeo.

"Most of our Bearpaw apparel collection will be sold at mom-and-pop shops around the country," Pierce said. But the driving force for sales will be at Bearpaw.com.
