Charting a Block-Printed Path from DTLA to India
The New York Times recently profiled sisters Lily and Hopie Stockman and their Los Angeles–based textile collection Block Shop.
Known for its block-printed scarves handmade in Rajasthan, India, Block Shop has recently expanded to include quilts and dhurrie rugs.
The Times' story includes a photo tour of a recent trip the designers took to India, and there are even more beautiful photos on the Block Shop website, including the image below and the one at the top of the page.
