Eataly Finally Debuts at Westfield Century City

Eataly, the missing piece of the shopping center revamp at Westfield Century City, is taking a bow on Nov. 3.

This array of restaurants that highlights the Italian eating experience will be the first such food complex on the West Coast. There are already U.S. locations in New York City, Boston, Chicago and soon Las Vegas.

The 60,000-square-foot space will have everything from locally sourced fish to traditional Neapolitan pizza. For the first time, an Eataly will sell American wine with 143 American bottles in the market. And there is also a chocolate counter by the Piemonte company called Venchi, where you can find 50 single-wrapped varieties of chocolate.

Also for the first time, you can eat outside at an Eataly and soon a rooftop restaurant will open.

The Westfield Century City mall just completed a $1 billion renovation that has seen a major overall of its restaurants and new eateries as well as new high-end shops and plenty of lounge spaces with furniture created by designer Kelly Wearstler.

Eataly was first launched in 2007 in Torino, Italy, by Oscar Farinetti, and now there are more than 35 locations around the world.
