Expires: Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 8 p.m.
...HEAT WAVE FOR NEXT WEEK EXCEPT NEAR THE COAST...
.High pressure will strenthen over the southwest states early next
week bringing an extended period of very hot weather except near
the coast and at the highest elevations of the mountains. The peak
of the heat is expected on Tuesday and Wednesday. Nights will be
quite warm as well...especially near the foothills of the
mountains and in the deserts.
...EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 10 AM MONDAY TO 8 PM PDT
THURSDAY...
The National Weather Service in San Diego has issued an Excessive
Heat Warning...which is in effect from 10 AM Monday to 8 PM PDT
Thursday. The Excessive Heat Watch is no longer in effect.
* Temperature...High temperatures during the peak of the heat on
Tuesday and Wednesday of 112 to 118.
* Impacts...A prolonged period of very hot days combined with
very warm nights is expected to create a dangerous situation
in which heat illnesses are possible.
