Flood Watch for Owens Valley, Southern Inyo Forest County, California
Flood Watch issued March 22 at 10:56AM PDT until March 23 at 11:00PM PDT by NWS
Effective: Thursday, March 22, 2018 at 11 p.m.
Expires: Friday, March 23, 2018 at 11 p.m.
.Heavy rain will continue in the Sierra, the Owens Valley, and
the White Mountains through this afternoon. This, combined with
melting snow below 10,000 feet, will lead to a risk of flooding.
...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...
The Flood Watch continues for
* A portion of southeast California, including the eastern Sierra
slopes, Owens Valley, and White Mountains of Inyo County.
* Through late tonight
* Heavy rain will continue through this evening, with another inch
or so in the mountains. Snow levels will be around 10,000 feet,
so any snowpack below that will be washed away and add to the
runoff.
