...AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON PDT FRIDAY...
The Air Quality Alert from the Oregon Department of Environmental
Quality remains in effect until noon PDT Friday.
Wildfires burning in the region combined with forecast conditions
will cause air quality levels to fluctuate. Air quality could be at
unhealthy levels, at times.
Some areas have already experienced locally heavy rainfall and gusty
winds, and more is possible through this evening, which should
improve air quality some. If significant improvement does occur,
this air quality alert will be updated.
Consider moving activities indoors, or canceling or postponing any
extended outdoor activity during periods of unhealthy air quality.
Pollutants in smoke can cause burning eyes...runny nose...aggravate
heart and lung diseases...and aggravate other serious health
problems. Limit outdoor activities and keep children indoors if it
is smoky. Please follow medical advice if you have a heart or lung
condition.
