File this one under nutty but true. The House of Ungaro has named Los Angeles actress Lindsay Lohan as its artistic director. She will be working with newly appointed chief designer Estrella Archs. Archs replaces Esteban Cortazar, who was quoted in a New York newspaper saying he would quit if Lohan came on board. Ungaro Chief Executive Mounir Moufarrige praised Lohan as a “world consumer with a clear eye for fashion.” The Archs-Lohan collaboration is expected to debut on Oct. 4 during Paris Fashion Week.
