Billabong Collaborates With Invista
Consumers will get a chance to design a swimsuit for Irvine-based Billabong and Maya Gabeira, its surf team rider, thanks to a new partnership between the surfwear maker and Invista, makers of Xtra Life Lycra. Visitors to www.mylycra.com can participate in the Billabong Big Wave Bikini Design Contest by selecting fabrics and swimsuit styles to create their own design for Gabeira. Site visitors can rate the designs, and the winning suit will be produced as the Maya Gabeira Signature Swimsuit, designed with Xtra Life LYCRA, and added to Billabong’s Cruise 2010 collection.
