Hollywood, Fashion Stars Party at Lucky Brand Flagship Debut

This wasn’t your Dad’s Lucky Brand store or even last week’s Lucky Brand boutique.

The prominent denim brand turned up the inspiration and experimentation for its Beverly Hills flagship on 420 N. Beverly Dr. It held a star studded opening party for the emporium Oct. 29.

Lucky Brand Chief executive officer Dave De Mattei presided over the party which was hosted by Lauren Hutton; the supermodel looked dashing and a bit dangerous in a green biker jacket. Also in attendance were Academy Award winner Hillary Swank, Actress Jessica Lowndes, models and Lucky ambassadors Missy Rayder and David Gandy. Also appearing were Jesse Lewis IV of upcoming Punch TV show Diva Factor, as well as fashion designers and executives such as Henry Duarte and Moshe Tsabag.

Diversity was a big part of the flagship's layout.

The emporium was divided into stylish mini-shops such as The Tomboy Shop, which gave men’s styles a feminine twist, The Moto Shop for clothes with a biker theme, Made in America, for garments made in the good ol’ USA. In a nod to one of the brand’s inspiration, the flagship also offered vintage clothes such as leather jackets.

Thomas Garner and Annie Garner. Thomas looks a bit peeved because I told him the iconic portraits he painted of models David Gandy and Missy Rayder looked like romance novel covers. I was corrected. It's photo realism.
