SCP’S PARISIAN PHOTO SHOOT

South Coast Plaza In The City of Lights

Fashion shoots can take you anywhere, but South Coast Plaza traveled far from its sunny Orange County headquarters to shoot its Fall 2013 portfolio. The luxury retail center photographed the portfolio in one of the world’s indisputable capitals of fashion; Paris.

At the ornate Palais Royal and the chic Le Marais district, model Toni Garnn, who is reportedly Leonardo DiCaprio’s current flame, modeled looks from the luxury destination’s luxury retailers, such as Chanel, Dior, Prada, Barbara Bui, Salvatore Ferragamo and Chloé. Sharif Hamza, whose photography credits include W Magazine and Vogue’s American, Chinese, French and Japanese editions, photographed the sumptuous portfolio.

Anton Segerstrom, South Coast Plaza's general manager, makes a toast at the center's Fall Portfolio Dinner at Lucques restaurant in West Hollywood.

South Coast Plaza typically photographs its fashion portfolios in California and New York City, but for 2013, it decided to do something special to celebrate a stellar year.

By the end of 2013, South Coast Plaza is forecast to surpass its 2012 sales of $1.5 billion. It welcomed new stores such as Lanvin and Brioni to its mix of luxury boutiques. Coach will debut a new concept store at South Coast Plaza. The only other place Coach will debut the new concept is New York City. Also, South Coast Plaza founder Henry Segerstrom turned 90 this year.

The luxury resort took its celebration to Los Angeles when it invited members of the press (including yours truly) and friends to a gala dinner at Lucques restaurant in West Hollywood. The menu included duck confit, wine from Michel Sarrazin et Fils and for dessert connoisseurs; warm chocolate cake with almonds, amarena cherries and amontillado ice cream. Sacre Bleu!
