Dita and her Pinup Girls
Sometimes underwear is a lot more than fabric worn under your jeans. It’s lingerie. And for some women, it’s a lifestyle.
On Sept. 24, I traveled to a Dita Von Teese event at lingerie shop Faire Frou Frou. Sure, Dita and her Von Follies lingerie line were the stars of the night, but it also was a gathering of pinup models. These latter day Bettie Pages typically wear looks from the 1940s and 1950s over their lingerie. They also seek to make bras and panties an art form.
