Guerilla Atelier & The Lost Warhols

Carl Louisville, founder of the Guerilla Atelier boutique at the edge of downtown Los Angeles, mixes a Californian sense of refinement with an Arts District sense of adventure at his shop, and Dec. 10 was the atelier’s night for giving back.

The boutique located at 427 Hewitt St. hosted a Holiday Charity shopping event. Proceeds of the night’s sales went to Symphonic Love Foundation, a non-profit led by R&B Singer Chris Brown, which raises funds for groups such as Jenesse Center, a domestic violence intervention program in South Los Angeles. According to the non-profit’s website, “Symphonic Love Foundation is the evolution of Chris Brown’s history of giving back since he was a child.”

A star of the show was photographic series The Lost Warhols, portraits of Andy Warhol taken by artist Karen + Bystedt. Karen and Chris held something of a court at the atelier while signing lithographs of the Lost Warhols. Take a look.
