For the Loud: Marshall Headphones and J.Mascis

With The Who’s Pete Townshend as one of its first devotees, Marshall Amplificiation made a reputation for delivering loud, loud rock music in the 1960s.

Decades later, Marshall remains true to loud rock. On June 24, it produced a 30-minute gig for alt/stoner rock legend J. Mascis at Hollywood’s mysterious, Jazz Age inspired No Vacancy club.

The party celebrated Marshall Headphones, the venerable amp company's line of personal electronics, as well as Exile, a gallery show of photography by Jason Lee Parry. Yow!
