Jen Awad’s Lovelace Collection

We missed Jen Awad at the last edition of Los Angeles Fashion Week. However, the designer best known for making clothes for the rock ‘n’ roll set made a splash Nov. 20 at West Hollywood boutique Orphic. She presented her new Lovelace Collection.

The collection represents a stylistic break for Awad. Instead of making clothes for the rock band, she made more than 14 pieces for the woman in love. “I wanted to make a romantic, gorgeous collection,” Awad said. “When a woman falls in love, she dresses up for it. I wanted people to get that feeling.”

The line’s significant looks include The Lovelace wrap dress; a long gown with a tie in front made out of Chantilly lace. There’s also The Lovelace baby doll, which Awad intended to be worn at red carpet events. Other looks include corset gowns with Marie Antoinette panels in front, striped satin and chiffon. Currently the collection is only available at Orphic and www.jenawadla.com
