Runway Show Raises $2.1 Million for Down Syndrome

The Global Down Syndrome Foundation produced the 2016 Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion show in Denver Saturday. The event raised awareness and funds for medical research for people with Down Syndrome.

Oscar winners Jamie Foxx and Hilary Swank took the runway with Queen Latifah, Matt Dillon, Mario Lopez, Peyton Manning and Amanda Booth, as well as models with Down Syndrome during this event, which reportedly raised $2.1 million.

Frank Stephens received the2016 Quincy Jones Exceptional Advocacy Award during the evening. At a speech, Stephens said, “I am a man with Down Syndrome and my life is worth living.’”
