If there’s one thing as certain as Santa Claus, it’s that the annual Hennes & Mauritz lingerie advertising campaign will create media-worthy controversy, and this season’s Claudia Schiffer campaign is no exception; the mayor of Albany, N.Y., citing the local requirements of good taste, has told a wire service that he will ask transportation officials to take posters of Schiffer in bra and panties off the city’s buses; H&M, as usual, maintains the ad campaign is not at all about titillation...Model/actress Elizabeth Hurley was offered a new $3 million-per-year spokesmodel contract from Estee Lauder, despite concerns about her increasingly risqueacute; tabloid image and speculation that Gwyneth Paltrow (or someone else with an equally dignified public persona) would become Lauder’s new face, according to a recent New York Post report.
