What do your teenagers want for the holidays?Well, duh! Diesel clothes, Nike Air Shox and Gravis shoes. Also, you can’t go wrong with anything leather, anything with a fur collar, multifunction watches (think Casio digital), flower pins and fragrances (for girls and boys).
So say the teen-oriented soothsayers at New York-based Youth Intelligence, a marketing and consulting firm specializing in trend spotting and predicting the tastes of the fickle youth market (powerhouses such as Polo Jeans, Levi’s, Target and MTV rely heavily on the company’s predictions).
What else does the Digital Generation crave this holiday?Scooters, of course, digital cameras, MP3 Players, CD burners, DVD players, Web-enabled phones, anything iMac and Sony Playstation 2. Now you’ve been warned.—Louis Chunovic
