Apparel and textile imports dropped 5.0 percent in June, marking the steepest decline since 1995, according to the Commerce Department...Some retailers are reducing their advertising budgets and opting instead to host special events and increase employee pay, according to a recent report in the Wall Street Journal, which examined ad spending at retailers including Kmart, Sears, Roebuck & Co., Nordstrom and J.C. Penney.
