Beaverton, Ore.-based Nike Inc. is recalling 225,000 pairs of Jordan Trunner LX and Jordan Trunner 2000 cross-training athletic shoes that contain a small metal strip that can protrude from the back of the shoe and cut the wearer, according to the Washington, D.C.-based Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC); Nike has received 16 reports of wearers receiving lower-leg cuts, some requiring stitches, according to the CPSC; Nike will exchange the shoes, which were made by factories in China and Indonesia, or give owners a store credit.
