Femme Final Attendance, Exhibitor Figures Released

Femme, the MAGIC International womenswear and accessories show that premiered May 6–8 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York, drew approximately 15,000 attendees during its three-day run, according to Camille Candella, marketing director for MAGIC International.

“It was a well-attended market and we were very pleased with the attendance for its first run,” Candella added, “There were a lot of buyers placing orders, so the exhibitors were very pleased with the attendance.”

Buyers walked the 120,000-square-foot exhibit space to view collections from nearly 900 companies. Exhibitors at the event included Pangea Style, Metal Pointu’s, Becca, Vaska, Alberto Makali, Erika Mays, An Ren Collection and Paris Blues.

Retailers in attendance included Anthropologie, Henri Bendel, Bloomingdale’s, Lord & Taylor, Saks Fifth Avenue and Barneys among others.

Femme is currently planned to run three times a year, in January, May and September. The next Femme show is scheduled for Sept. 23–25 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. For information on the event, call (800) 421-9567 or visit the company’s Web site at [www.MAGIConline.com]. —Staff report
