Cal Mart Adds Focus, Giveaway

The California Mart has added a new multi-line exhibition area to the Nov. 2–6 run of the Los Angeles market.

The area, dubbed Focus, will feature contemporary, better and bridge lines and shoes and accessories in the Fashion Theater.

Some of the apparel labels include Private Circle with Freddy Rojas, Tark 1 for Avenue Montaigne, Boxley by Victoire, Cassin by Sherry Cassin, Controversy, Marc Vachon, Kenneth Cole Outerwear, Paula Lishman International and Geiger of Austria. Focus will also feature members of Fashion Business Incubator (FBI), a Los Angeles-based incubator organization. Some of the FBI exhibitors include Mona & Company, Katie Meehan handbags and Suzi Click Wraps.

Building executives will also be giving away an all-inclusive vacation to one buyer as part of a promotion with the Cal Mart’s travel agency, Tzell Travel, Allegro Resorts and American Airlines. Buyers who booked travel with Tzell will be entered in a drawing for a three-night trip to either the Caribbean or Mexico. Cal Mart executives will be announcing the winner between 6 and 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 3 at the pre–fashion show cocktail party in the lobby. Buyers must be present to win. —Alison A. Nieder
