Saipan Workers Notified of Rights

Saipan apparel workers will be notified of their rights following a federal court ruling that stipulated that foreign “guest workers” from China, Thailand, Bangladesh and the Philippines who worked on U.S. apparel be notified of their rights under U.S. labor laws. Those rights include the right to join a class-action lawsuit for workers that charges that apparel workers were forced to work overtime without pay. The workers’ rights notice will be given to current and former workers, will appear in six different languages and will include a toll-free number for more information.
