DuPont Lycra Takes West East
New York buyers got a chance to see Los Angeles-based labels Hippie Jeans and AG Adriano Goldschmied during New York Fashion Week in February thanks to DuPont Lycra. The Wilmington, Del.-based fiber giant sponsored the first MegaDenim show in partnership with YM magazine.
The DuPont-sponsored portion of the show, held on Feb. 12 at Bryant Park, spotlighted denim collections incorporating Lycra and also included New York-based DDCLAB. (The event was originally slated for New York Fashion Week last September but was canceled along with the rest of the week’s events following Sept. 11.)
Buyers will have another opportunity to see the Hippie and AG lines during Los Angeles Fashion Week, April 12–16. AG will be an exhibitor at Designers & Agents, which runs April 12–16 on the third floor of the New Mart, and the latest Hippie collection will be in the company’s permanent showroom in suite 903 of the New Mart.
