Cherokee Ruling
Cherokee is entitled to the 15 percent stake in Mossimo’s licensing deal with Target stores, according to a ruling reached by the Los Angeles Superior Court on June 17.
The dispute was over the payment of certain fees regarding a deal Cherokee brokered between Mossimo and Minnesota-based retailer Target Corp. in 2000. Santa Monica– based Mossimo Inc. has not announced whether it will appeal the ruling.
