QRS Rolls Out Product Data Tracker

Richmond, Calif.–based QRS Corp., best known for its EDI (electronic data interchange) catalogs for retailers, is expanding into the enterprise software arena with a new product called QRS Impact.

QRS Impact is for brand execution and the tracking of product information within a company during the product development process. The idea is to eliminate the information gaps and other inefficiencies that could cause chargebacks and slow down the development process.

The solution uses a single repository to centralize product information, usually stored in different points within a company. It collects and validates the information regardless of format; manages the workflow by defining product information authoring, editing and approval processes; and ensures delivery of the information.

With QRS Impact and QRS Catalogue, the company now provides an end-to-end solution. QRS Catalogue allows manufacturers to share product information such as price, style, color, size and an additional 450 product attributes with retailers.

“The increasing need for greater detail and higher-quality product information has led us to offer a solution that tackles the problem where it starts—inside the company,” said QRS Chief Executive Officer Liz Fetter.
