Hot Kiss Coats

Juniors apparel maker Hot Kiss is expanding its licensing with the launch of a line of outerwear for Holiday 2004, set to bow at the August edition of MAGIC International in Las Vegas.

The Los Angeles–based juniors sportswear apparel maker has signed a licensing agreement with Merries International Inc. in Los Angeles, which produces private label outerwear for several juniors apparel firms.

Hot Kiss founder Moshe Tsabag said: “We’re pleased to sign such a specialized international manufacturer who produces outerwear for other esteemed brands.”

The youthful and trendy collection will include sporty looks such as insulated vests and jackets and sleek-looking raincoats, with retail price points ranging from $39 to $69.

“Adding the Hot Kiss brand to our existing brand base proves our niche for knowing the junior sports market,” Omar Lee, chief executive officer at Merries International said in a press statement. “We are proud to be associated with a globally recognized brand.”

Hot Kiss outerwear will be tested at 150 specialty stores nationwide as well as existing accounts such as Macy’s, Dillard’s, Nordstrom, Burdines and Rich’s. The line will be represented by Merries International’s sales force, the company said.
