Alternative Talent Agency Launches New Division

Dragon Talent & Models recently launched a new division. The alternative talent agency, which began almost 10 years ago representing drag queens and alternative models, has added a hair, makeup and styling division called Dragon Artists.

It is an expansion of the creativity the agency has been pursuing, according to Ozzie Morales, director of the new division. Morales said the artists’ division will work hand-in-hand with the talent division, enabling artists and talent to be booked together on the same jobs.

The Los Angeles agency, owned by partners Robin Harrington and Chaim Magnum, has become known for showcasing nontraditional talent such as punk rockers, bikers, cross-dressers and geeky teen types. The agency has become more diverse and well-rounded in recent years, making its talent marketable to all facets of the commercial, print, video, fashion and television industries, Morales said.

Past clients have included Pepsi, AT&T, Target, Snapple, Chevrolet and Taco Bell; entertainers Jennifer Lopez, Madonna and Sugar Ray; and apparel companies Old Navy, Gucci and Dolce & Gabbana.
