CFDA Nominees

Diane von Furstenberg will receive a lifetime achievement award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America. The New York–based organization will hold its annual awards ceremony June 6 at the New York Public Library on Fifth Avenue. Among this year’s nominees are Vera Wang, Marc Jacobs and Ralph Rucci for Chado Ralph Rucci for Womenswear Designer of the Year; John Bartlett, Ralph Lauren and John Varvatos for Menswear Designer of the Year; and Marc Jacobs, Michael Kors, Janis Savitt for M + J Savitt and Gerard Yosca for Accessory Designer of the year. Thom Browne, Rogan Gregory for Rogan and Alexandre Plokhov for Cloak are up for the Swarovski Perry Ellis Award for menswear, and Derek Lam, Behnaz Sarafpour and Peter Som will vie for the same award for womenswear. The nominees for Swarovski’s Perry Ellis Award for accessory design are Anthony Camargo and Nak Armstrong for Anthony Nak, Holly Dunlap for Hollywould, and Devi Kroell. Other honorees include Gilles Bensimon, publication director of Elle magazine; Alber Elbaz, artistic director for Lanvin; model Kate Moss; and designer Norma Kamali.
