Got Gump's

The parent company of San Francisco–based luxury retailer Gump’s has struck a deal to sell the company to an investment group for an undisclosed sum. The investment group includes two venture capital firms, WaldenVC and Stone Canyon Venture Partners, and Sand Springs Holdings, a private investment company controlled by investment banker John Chachas. The purchase of the 145-year-old gift and home retailer includes the flagship store in San Francisco, a catalog and an Internet business. Gump’s parent company is New Jersey–based direct-marketing business Hanover Direct.
